Corona Beer ventures into Eco-Tourism with launch of its Corona Island, the World’s First Blue Verified, Single-Use Plastic-Free Island Open to the public in Summer 2023, the natural oasis achieved the highest level of sustainability verification by Oceanic Global’s Blue Standard.

The nonprofit organization Oceanic Global and the Anheuser-Busch’s Corona Beer have joined forces to launch the brand-new eco-tourism destination Corona Island. The new location is an "island paradise first-of-its-kind" right off the Colombian coast. Corona Island is free of single-use plastic, encouraging guests to reconnect with the natural world through immersive hospitality experiences.

Corona Island has achieved Oceanic Global’s three-star plastic-free Blue Seal for eliminating single-use plastic and adopting sustainable operating best practices at scale. From construction to energy production, food sourcing and guest experiences on-site, sustainability is at the center of every decision and touchpoint of Corona Island.

Exclusive island features:

James & Mau, an international architectural and design firm, and Jairo Márquez, a native Colombian architect, collaborated to create the island's design and concept.

Chef Christopher Carpentier, a Chilean-born chef who served as a judge on MasterChef Colombia, has designed special dishes for guests.

The leisure activities on Corona Island are selected by Paulina Vega, a former Miss Universe who was born on the coast of Colombia.

Oceanic Global's "Blue School" offers educational workshops and field trips.
